The escape game concept :
An escape game is a type of adventure game in which the aim is to escape from a room in which the player has been locked up for an hour. To do this, they have to find items hidden in the décor, often in the form of keys or codes, solve riddles or perform a series of precise moves. This pastime can be enjoyed alone or in a team.
What exactly happens in an escape game?
After an initial briefing explaining the general rules and sometimes the world of the escape game, a friendly guide called the game master leads you to the door of your escape room. Your group enters and acclimatises before the guide leaves you and closes the door behind him. Once the door is closed, a video introduction can be played giving instructions on how to get started, introducing the theme and history of the room if the game master has not done so in his briefing.
Then your group begins to explore the room, looking for clues that will help them solve the riddles and challenges one by one, while working on your escape.
Throughout the game, the game master can see and hear you and communicate with your team. If you get stuck on a puzzle, he can give you a clue, sometimes orally or on a screen.
The game generally lasts sixty minutes: a timer can be displayed in the room to intensify the stress or, on the contrary, be absent, allowing you to switch off completely and live your adventure to the full.
