Escape games for children: an unusual and entertaining activity

Les escape games pour enfants

You're planning a birthday party and you realise that you've covered everything that already exists: pyjama parties, bowling, laser tag, etc. How about an escape game?

The first escape games appeared in 2010 and are basically puzzle games for young adults looking for a new way to have fun. As a result, escape games have been adapted for children. Escape games are a great way to encourage cohesion, imagination and reflection, all in an immersive environment!

What exactly is an escape game? The literal translation in French means "to escape from the game". Participants in an escape game are immersed in a world, with a themed room and a game master, and they have to solve puzzles to win the game.

The escape game is led by a game master, who explains the rules and guides the participants through the game.

In general, participants start in one room and have to solve riddles to reach the second room. Similarly, to reach the third room and find the key to victory. There is no competition between participants.

The key to the success of an escape game lies above all in teamwork and collective thinking. A game lasts between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, including the explanation time, the game time, the souvenir photo and the debriefing time at the end.
